My First Clutch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well my normal girl layed her first (and mine) clutch yesterday! 10 plump beautiful eggs. All look healthy. Boy was i excited! I bred her to my amel male. I dont know what the parents are het for so what comes out will be a suprise. I was shocked to see how deflated she was when she was done. It is so sad. Anyways i wanted to thank everyone here for all the advice from incubators to the actual breeding stuff. I couldn't have done it without all your help!

Lets hope i have 10 nice babies in a few months!

Hiya
Congrats, its a great feeling when they all look good.
Well the babies will be all normals het amel, unless they are hets then who knows.
best of luck with them.

It must be sooooo exciting!? I cant wait to breed in a few years when my babies are old enough, im glad everything went smoothly for you and no complications, congrats!!!! I look forward to updates hehe and pics :)

It's so exciting isn't it? I was in a similar position last summer when I bred my anery female to a striped male - she also laid ten fertile eggs on her first clutch and looked very deflated, but quickly recovered and all ten eggs hatched into healthy babies. I was expecting all normals but got 6 striped and 4 normal - so she is het for stripe! Your female may be het amel, which would be nice... Anyway, good luck and congrats! :)

It's always so exciting to see what hatches. I was expecting all classics last year from an amel to classic breeding and I got nine classics and six amels. And if you think she looks deflated after laying only ten, wait til you see one that's laid 20+. They look flat. Good luck and congrats!

Congrats...

Good job, i'm in the same position. My girl should drop her clutch in a couple weeks. I can't wait to watch. It will be awesome. And your right, this forum is awesome and filled with some great and informative people.
