My First Clutch

nehpets1

Ruler of Heck
So, these babies hatched a month ago, and I finally Got around to taking decent pics.

Then I Finally found a place where people might enjoy them.

I'll start with pics of the Parents:

The father, Tristan, Motley Anery, apparently het for Amel

And the Mother, Téa (as in Tee Uh), Motley Sunglow

Now Téa was a proven breeder when I bought her, and I should have bought the Pair I was offered instead of just her, but you know what they say about hindsight and all...

This was Tristan's first year to breed, and I'm proud of the youngster.

Téa laid 15 Eggs, 1 in her water dish, 1 slug, 4 molded (damnable sphagnum moss), and 1 never hatched, but I cut it open to find a fully formed snake inside, only dead...

8 Hatched, not bad since I was hoping for 1, You know first clutch and all

1 Came out Kinked too badly to poo:

I euthanized it less than a week after hatching.

And then the Babies

7 Healthy Babies Followed; however, one has yet to eat. It's down to 4g now, and I'm afraid that it too will die...

Imagine my surprise, though, when I thought that I was crossing these two to get motley snows later, and I got all these Motley Amels:

(note: these are all pics of one snake, if you try to count them, they won't end up at 7 snakes)

And More Babies

And then I got the Motley Normals het Amel/Anery:

(note: again one snake, as an example...)

So I have 6 healthy motleys, 1 unhealthy, and 2 Very Proud Parents.

And I guess I'm now a snake breeder...

Lol, congrats on the little ones! I don't know how you can wait so long to take pics, you're stronger than I.. lol They look lovely, and lets hope that other one eats for you!
