My first Corn, just wanting to show him off

JayNorth24

Love my Monty snakie
His name is Monty. Yes, like Monty Python, I know, I'm soooo original. Well, he is my first and I love having him to death. He is by far the coolest pets I have ever had in my 24 years. So, here are some pics. I have only had him two days, so there is not much to his viv, but I will be doing some better things for him in the near future!!

Here is his home. It's a 30gal. When he gets much older I want to get him something amazing.

So what do you all think? :wavey:

Nice little snow, looks like he's fallen on his feet to come home with you, erm, I mean his belly!

Thank you. I am just so excited to see what Monty will look like when he gets bigger. I see no color on him at all. Just the pale oink and off-white color. I just know he will be gorgeous!!

Oh yes, the shop was not sure how old he is. He is about 13 inches, doeas anyone know approximately how old he might be?

I got my first about a month ago, now I have four! You have a very pretty little snake there. My snakes range from 11 inches to 16 inches, and they are all under two months old. So it really depends on how fast your snake grows.

Gorgeous guy you have there. I have to say there is something about getting them as babies that just makes the first time experience all that much more memorable and magic.

Keep posting pics as he grows. I would love to see his color as he goes through his sheds.

Congrats on getting your first corn snake, and a pretty little one too! We have a Monty here too, but he's a python lol...

Awesome, thanks for all the comments. Just a quick question. There seems to be a little teeny spot under his "chin". It it just dirty or is it a mite. I don't think there is any way fo rhim to get a mite, but he is my baby and I want to make sure he is ok. I can't afford to take him to the vet until next Thursday. Also, he finally went to the bathroom. He ate Tuesday. Do I need to "collect the sample" and bring it to th evet with him as soon as I can for his first check-up?

This can be really, really, tricky to answer.. If it was being fed properly, I would dare to say two monthes old or so.. Althought there can be very many circumstances that can cause the growth to be much slower than normal etc..
