My first Corn

I have been a registered user for a couple days and I am just enjoying everyone's enthusiasm about corns :D. Just a couple days ago I bought a cage to keep my first corn, that I will be getting shortly, in. Below is a picture of the set-up.

Any helpful hints that you guys can give would be wonderful.
The spec on the cage are as follows:
Tank is a 20 Gal. Long
Lamps are 1 75W Day light
and 1 50W Night Heat light
Bedding is about 2in. Aspen Shred

Any other questions to help will be more then appreciated :D.

LOVE the tinsel! I used to do that every year :)

I'd suggest adding couple more places to hide.. Particularly in that first week after bringing snakey home, you'll want to make sure they can hide away and settle in undisturbed.

Then a thermostat if you don't have one, to regulate the temps, which should be mid-high 70s on the cool side, mid-high 80s on the warm side.

Aspen's a great bedding and it looks a very nice set up :) Post a picture after your little one has settled in :)

Will do. My mom (who is almost phobic of snakes, and is letting me get one? :shrugs: ) suggested it. I will definately add some more hides. The cardboard that was protecting the tank when I got are just right for small little cardboard huts :D. I also forgot to mention I do have one. I am currently running the set-up to get a balance going before the snake comes home tomorrow.

Thanks for the any and all advice :D.

Perfect - sounds like you're fully in control! :)

The best advice I could give from here would be to purchase The Comprehensive Owner's Guide by Kathy Love & Bill Love. And stick around the forum - there is no question too stupid or that can't be answered..!

Lets see if this URL will show the picture of the tank (I am not seeing the picture in my first post at all.)

Much Better :D.

Alright will do. I had picked up a Kathy Love book from one of the local pet stores we get our Lepoard Gecko crickets from. That book was an immense help in making sure of what all I needed.

This place will definately be a stopping ground for any question I have. I am just loving the friendly atmosphere that everyone has here.

Sincerely,
Douglas
