This is my first ever snake, I have only had him for a week and a half, he (I say he cause I don't know the sex) was hatched in Aug 02 so that makes him just over 5months he is about 16-18 inches long, i wrote a message yesterday and was given some advice by Rachel and I would like to say a big thank you as I was a bit nervous of handling him (not that he would bite) incase I hurt him I was amazed that he was so fast the first time I got him out it really made me jump all I could do was put him straight back in his little viv, anyway I did as Rachel advised which was to hold him over a large cardboard box just incase, well it worked I havr been handling him today I have taken him out twice today and he was still very fast but I felt a lot more at ease, I will say that when I put him back today for the first time I thought that he might have been a bit stressed (I was very gentle with him) but not at all cause all he wanted to do was come back out he just stared at me for ages I was talking to him and he wasn't at all bothered, I then left him alone for five or six hours then took him out again only for about 5 minutes, I am sure that he liked it as he seemed a lot calmer, well thats my happy tale, I really love him he is wonderful, also I must say what a great forum this is the knowledge that I have is due to reading as much as I can and going through a lot of this forum. Thanks everyone. By the way I have managed to take this quick shot of my corn, his name is Chance, playing peek a boo in his toilet roll..
