I'm not at home, so i can't post the pics I took earlier! But i have pippies now! Last night I checked and one egg was slitted and had some clear goo coming out the other 2 were unchanged. This morning i got a nice surprise. Egg #2 has a pippie! It's head was completely out, a normal ... hoping for a normal mot ... anyhow Just thought I'd share

this is from het anery mot ph amel sunkissed x same . 16 eggs laid, most of them are moldy, 3 are good for sure there's a questionable 4th, and maybe another one under the pile that I can't see.

Also this is my first year breeding woot!

after going through the few pics, one thing i noticed is that it has a pretty cool looking head pattern. You can't see the entire thing, but what you can see looks neat. I will probably peak again later and maybe take pics if anything else is happening.

The egg w/ the slit is the 1st egg that i noticed, but so far no pippy.

ENjoy!

Congratulations! It IS a great feeling to see your very first pippy stick it's nose out of it's shell. You paired up some great hets as well.
I hope you get a amel motley sunkissed!
Good call Stephen. I was thinking the same thing. That would be a great morph to see.
Jay

the slit is growing ... here's a better head shot.

Congrats! Hope you hit the genetic lottery and get the motley you were hoping for, or the amel motley sunkissed would be cool too! =)

well its either a normal or a sunkissed, I'm heavily leaning towards normal, but the lighting isn't super great in the room, and the flash seems to be picking up some more orange undertones. I guess I'll have to wait until it shed to be sure.

One thing I forgot about and the hatchling reminded me, is that both parents are partial zig-zags, mom has quite a bit more than dad ... and guess what the hatchling has some too! so its "not just a normal"

also i got some awesome tounge shots without even trying

thanks, so far its just the one (same snake in all the pics), but the other egg has multiple slits in it, so we'll see when #2 comes out .. it looks like the 3rd egg might be starting to slit as well.

Wow, that's really some unusual pattern--looks like s/he is painted with a little "white-out" in spots!

I think that white stuff is either part of the substrate or egg shell ... i'm not 100% certain though.

I've handled it a littel bit, didn't wanna disturb it too much, tomorrow morning im gonna give it its own container.

Cool little hatchling you have there! Looking forward to seeing more pics of other pippies and of this one once it sheds!
