My computer doesn't have great graphics and everything is 20 times darker than it's meant to be so from what I can tell it looks like a sunglow or something on the amel side. You SHOULD research into what you're getting before you buy it but that's too late now so look through here for questions that have been asked that will help you and I suggest buying the cornsnake manual by Bill and Kathy Love.

I got him off my sister in law who I am sorry to say is renound for getting animals having them a month then getting rid when she gets bored I loved this little fellow and we decided to take him (at least he has a perminant home) But as i said b4 i know nothing about them which is unfair to the snake.....I dont know where she got him from how old he is or his type I have been handling him every day which he seems to like and i have only fed him once as i have only had him a week but he took it fine ..

Don't handle him for 48 hours after he eats, or he might regurgitate.(spit the food out)
His cage should be about room temperature, and it looks like an adult so you should have him in 15-20g. aquarium with an extremely escape proof lid. It should have good ventilation too.

His cage should not be at room temp. It should have a gradient.
You need to give him a warm spot of around 82-85 degrees. The other side, which will be the cool side, can be room temp.
Don't handle him much yet, let him settle in. Try feeding him in a week or so, he needs time to adjust.
What else would you like to know?

and please god be careful where you let him crawl. It looks like in that pic he/she is crawling on your kitchen counter... that can be as dangerous as cutting raw chicken on the counter then eating your dinner on it...
Snakes CAN carry many dangerous-to-humans forms of bacteria, please always practice good sanitation, hand washing and proper precations when exposing you and your snake to certain environments; another issue explained and tackled in the CORN SNAKE MANUAL...
Please get TCSM ASAP.

thanks for the advice... I know about the hygene thing, but my 3 year old son had just been playing roll the boggie on there so i had to dissinfect it anyhow lol. i got a heated pad with the snake do i leave this on all the time or just when its cold ... feel real thick now

Being in the UK I have mine on all the time MAKE SURE you have a thermostat as heatmats can and will overheat and snakes aren't clever enough to know they're cooking themselves but I have mine on at 85degrees F so its about 75 in the cool end.

get a mercury thermometer or something and put it on the heat pad and CHECK it cuz if the snakes gets too hot it cooks, too cold it should only hibernate as we only drops to about 8degrees at night but u really need to get one tomorrow because it doesn't do the snake any good, go to your retile shop and get a habistat you tape the sensor to the mat and plug the mat into the loose socket then into the mains and temperature control voila!
