I know it's not very impressive, but as I was running to my car I saw a little brown snake in my carport! Sadly, my son wasn't with me, since I was on my way to school to get him, and he was gone when I got back. So I snapped a quick picture with my phone and giggled to myself before I had to leave. It was a little larger than my 2011 hatchlings, probably 30-50 grams, and I'd say either a brown snake or a eastern garter. (I wonder about the brown snake because the book I has say they are smaller than the one I saw)

Anyway, it was exciting for me. Too bad I was in such a rush...

Looks like a Hypo Garter Snake. Grab it and breed it to an albino! Make Hybinos, with wild blood (better feeding response then inbred amels). Might even get something new and never-seen-before in the F2 generation.

Very pretty little snake! I thought maybe a Garter in shed when I first saw it, i haven't seen hypo ones though, very nice find.
 
Sorry, I looked for it when I got back home, but I couldn't find it anywhere. And I think my husband would have been upset with me if I would have brought another snake in the house! But I'll think of you if I see it again :p
