My flourescent pippies are lacking color...

These guys started hatching yesterday and it looks like their color will be amazing. In case you're wondering, yes, these were posted in the breeding section too ;) More to come once they're out - hopefully tomorrow!

So, lacking color is a good thing in this case??? I don't know anything about fluorescents...

Congratulations!

With as light as they are, their colors should just POP after shedding. Should be some pretty babies, and I'm not even fond of amel :)

My flourescents are bright orange on orange and their dad has some great RO borders. The less color they have at first the better the borders and so it seems - the more orange they get (as opposed to reds). Here's pics of Mom, Dad, and my two keepers from last year.

They are gorgeous! A friend hatched out some Fluorescent Reds this year, they were also "colourless" when they were little but MAN are they awesome now!!! lol (I have two! lol)

I love the thick borders on those little guys! My female FL. Red also has nice thick borders but not quite THAT thick! :D

They look like someone dabbed fluorescent hunter safety orange paint on them!! Even the hatchlings have little dots of it.

Updated pictures! Took these today and was amazed that this many were out. I have six out but one is still attached by the yolk to the egg so I'm leaving him alone for now. I'm also putting individual pics in the photo gallery in a new thread for fun (and hopefully so those on dial up don't die). Enjoy!
