Wow Jason, congratulations! I'm glad you remembered that I said I wanted to know when you hatched because I DEFINITELY want one (or more, haha). Have you sexed them yet? I'm sure you'll be reading/asking about popping soon. Those are beautiful patterns too. I'll take at least one of them!

Can I get first pick?? (aside from the one you want to keep for yourself, #6)

Sorry it took me so long to reply, but Sunday and Monday are my days off from work, and I don't have internet access at home.

Anyway, my wife and I are hopeless, and now have decided to keep #'s 3 and 6. We are truly a couple of sad cases (2 dogs, 4 cats, 2 Uros., 1 Kingsnake, and now 7 corns. We just can't say no...) But sure, you can have your pick of the other little guys, or just take'em all! :D

About the sexing thing, I haven't sexed any of them, because I really don't feel comfortable doing it myself. Probably after a couple of feeds, I'll take them to the friendly neighborhood Herp. Vet and have them professionally looked over. I'll let you know soon.

A couple of small milestones to report however, all are heartily drinking water, and 5 of six are "blue" already.

Also, want to hear about a small miracle? Akasha laid 8 eggs total. One went bad within 2 weeks in the incubator, so I removed it (sunken, moldy, all-around not pleasant). There weren't even veins in it. There was another egg, that was attached to the bad one, that was also begining to go down the dark path (sinking in badly, darkening a bit) that I wasn't holding out much hope for, but since it wasn't moldy, I didn't get rid of it.

So all six of the "good" eggs pipped, and eventually hatched out, and nothing from the "bad" little egg, still, something told me to not throw it away (still no mold, I told myself, so don't give up hope yet). Anyway, long story short 5 days later, I now have SEVEN little Anery's!

I'm still not allowing myself to get too attached, as he's the smallest little corn I've ever seen and not quite as active as the other six. But he's drinking, and his eye's look a little hazy this morning, so I will not give up on him!

(BTW - Arson, you still planning to go to the show at the Exchange Park on the 24th-25th?)

Ooo, thanks for reminding me! Yes, I'll definitely be heading to that show. We'll talk more before then and we can hook up at the show.

Actually, I'd be interested in the nippy one you have there, especially if you'll give a "nipper" discount. =P She/He looks quite lively and very pretty. I'll see if I can muster up more room for more (I have plenty of mice) and we'll see what I can do about taking a few more.

Of course, all of this depends on what you'd like to sell them for.

David

Sounds fair to me! Let me see what I can work out with housing arrangements. If I can't make room for 2 I'll buy 1 for $30. Of course I'll give them a few weeks to make sure they're eating well, etc.

Oh, yeah, I plan to be very anal about their conditions prior to selling. Right now I'm planning on a minimum of 1 shed, 4 successful feeds without regurges before I'll let them go.

I've read many times on these boards about people being sold unhealthy animals, or animals that are just too young, and I don't plan on doing that to anyone.

The only thing I'm struggling to figure out, and maybe an experienced seller could tell me what they do, is how/if to guarantee the animal after the sale.

question?

J Daniels, I was looking for pics of Anerytheristic Corns ( we have our first Corn and he is this color) and stumbled upon this thread. I found myself wondering what happened to the 7th hatchling?

J.

Thats pretty good 7 out of 8, our female laid 24 and we only got 8 out of it! Alot looked like duds from the start tho so wasnt a major suprise, so congrats!

wow nice hatchlings
a question to all is it hard to breed alltogether on a scale of one to ten???
