My hatchlings wont eat!!!

Let us know how it goes. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I hope the rest will cooperate and eat!

Update,
I did a second round of mouse tails. Quick overview is I cut a piece of mouse tail and put the bigger end in their mouth and gently push down a little ways until they swallow it on their own. Some will shake the mouse tail out but I stay persistent and eventually they did swallow the piece. Make sure you put big part first because the way the hair on the tail is. After this second round I had to visit my dealer (not drugs lol) for some ball pythons and I got some live baby pinkies again. Over the last two days I have gotten five more to eat. I have two shoe boxes with 4 hatchlings in each and I would leave the live pinky in there and check every so often. When I put them individually in deli cups the live seem to just freak them out. I will put them in individual containers in a day and try feeding them f/t in about 4 days. If that doesn't work then I will try the chicken broth (keep getting side tracked). Oh I also noticed on one of the nonfeeders that it is deformed above one eye (took over a month and half to notice it not sure why I didn't see it before). I also had a snow escape (no idea how it got out of the shoe box none of the others did). I also checked the other ones to make sure they didn't eat him. Clutch of 19 6 have eaten more than once, 3 have finally eaten once (yeah), 3 noneater, 7 sold ( have eaten many meals).
The clutch of 12 3 have eaten more than 3 times, 2 finally ate once (yeah), 4 nonfeeders, 1 lost (nonfeeder), 2 sold. So that is where we are at up to this point. Slowly but surely they are seeming to eat. It is just taking a lot of effort (but worth it).

Try This...

I was having the same problem with my two, I'm no expert by any means, but I read this on one of these posts to try anole lizards, I put them in live too, & they smoked 'em... here's the link to the post I just posted with pics, just so you can see what the results was, the link is http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25082 ,

p.s., I hope this info was helpful as it seems to have helped here, Marshall P..

I had one more eat so the numbers are dwindling. A couple of them have now eaten their second meal (yeah). I tried scenting with an anole. I may have to try them but the pet store that carries them says that because of the hurricane and shortage of anoles they are now charging 15 a piece. I have 6 or 7 can't remember to late at night but it would cost me quite a bit right now. So far though the mouse tail trick has worked at getting more to eat each time and I'm still planning on trying the chicken broth.
