My new african pygmy hedgehog!!!

Does it have any pure white quills? snowflakes have a mix of banded quills and pure white quills. Mine probably has about 50 percent white quills. Also, I'm pretty sure yours isn't a brown because it has a pink nose and browns have a brown nose. Maybe it is an apricot, are the eyes reddish?

Mine likes mealworms and crickets for treats.

I will have to check her quills tommorrow for pure white quills. When I saw her at first she kinda looks like she has light tan banded quills. But her eyes kinda look black but could be dark red.

Sorry you can't have a hedgie in AZ. That stinks. What do they think the tiny creatures will over take the state??? They don't even like temps above 85. But i really lucked out finding this girl. I had her out and she was huffy when i first got her out but she loves to crawl around the floor, supervised of course.

Yeah... they think that those released into the wilds of AZ will somehow find each other and destroy all the local fauna & flora. They should realize we're in AZ... EVERYTHING dies out here.

The really humorous thing is that they are illegal in PA. I don't know what THAT is about, but they certainly would not survive a PA winter... probably some politicians kid got spined at a pet store...

LOVELY little hedgy! I really, really, REALLY want one... but they're against the law in AZ... What a crock!

I've wanted one too. But you know the laws in California. :( I thought about bringing one back from Arkansas, but decided I better not.

Laws on exotics are all pretty much a crock and then some. If anyone is looking for another REALLY cool pet unknown to most look into seeing if short tail opossums are legal in your area. My wife and I had them years ago and would love to get one again...In fact were considering getting one now.
