Last weekend my buddy and I hit a local junk pile. Among the snakes we caught was this Eastern King Snake. I posted a picture of the way she looked the night I caught her in this thread:
http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51201

Well, in the short week I've had her, she's eaten twice (1 medium F/T adult mouse each time), and taken three very large poops. She had some scale rot on her belly that I treated with bacitracin. She was treated for mites.

She has two old healed wounds on her, one on the last 1/3 of her body, and one near the tail.

I decided to keep her because of her skin condition, and the fact she looked thin. Additionally, I have a feeling this area we caught her will be developed in the not to distant future. She's got about the sweetest demeanor I've ever known in a Kingsnake.

This morning she shed. I thought you might like to see my new Lampropeltis getula getula:

Great find buddy...

I've been tied up and herpin this year looks bleak.
What is it about E. Kings? I bought mine and she was thin with mites. :shrugs:

I treated her for mites, but I don't think she had any. In fact, I've only caught one snake this year that looked like it might of had mites, a Black Rat Snake.
