Nice baby you have there!
You don't have to add more, but you can if you like. The thermometer on the glass will do not much good though, it's better to take temps on the surface i.e. where the snake will be (under the bedding if you use heat pads).
I suppose you have the lamps set in such a way there is a warmer and a cooler side?
No problem doing this with lamps, but then you have to be a bit carefull when shedding time comes as they tend to dry out the viv. A bit more misting and you'll be fine.

That was gonna be my next question.
Misting... how often and when?

I have a friend that has had multiple snakes and she never misted.... what should I do?

Corn snakes don't need a lot of humidity so I can imagine that not misting might not be a problem. Especially when you work with heat pad in stead of lamps for heating, everything might just be ok like it is. It also depends on the humidity in general where you live. But as lamps dry out the viv, that might be a problem when shedding time comes.
I myself have a few vivs heated by lamps, for those, I mist dayly when they are about to shed (don't make the viv soaking wet though). The rest of the time is on a "whenever I feel like it"-schedule.

Well i do live in Toronto... the most m,essed up climate of all lol

The temp is usually between 75-80 degrees
Humidy ranges from god knows what!!

The lap does dry it out quite a bit and i have kept it about 505 or so with spikes when i mist.

Maybe when she sheds just keep the night light on instead of teh day??
ANd mist more like you said

Well it's up to you really, as long as you keep the temps high enough.
And you might want to create a warm side where the temps are 80-85. Being able to choose their temps makes it easier on them to digest.

I have teh lamp on all day and the temp has never really got higher the 80 really
Maybe I should look into getting a heating pad then.

First i am getting an other thermostat so i qill have one at each end. right now it is in the middle so it may be the right temp on the end. Will do that tonight.

Oh I measured her this mornign and she is 16 inces long

:)

It might be an idea to get a temp gun or thermometer with a probe. Then you can measure the temps on the surface, or in case of a heat pad, under the bedding.

lots to consider :)

Thanks for the info :)

I will see what teh temp is directly under the lamp and go from there

I seen a pic that someone had of their snake in a beer botthe.
Well i found a childhood brand of pop I have not seen in 20+ years so i thought "hey wonder is she would like it in there lol

well she loves it!!

here is a pic
