my okeetee is hyper today

hey all,

i have 2 okeetees roughly 6 months old and one of them is acting quite hyper today. He/she is moving around more than usual climbing upside down on the screen lid swaying back and forth in her cage.

its never acted this way before, I fed her a fuzzy last Thursday so i thought it might be hungry so i went out and bought some pinkies to feed it when i put it and the pinkie in her feeding cage she just wanted out and showed no interest in the food.

i misted the snakes habitat with water to bring the humidity up and thats where i stand at the moment.

any ideas what could be up with it?
 
Maybe it just feels good and wants to move around. Keep an eye on it. It doesn't sound sick though.
 
That's funny because my snow has been on the go for almost 2 days straight! I fed her yesterday afternoon, thinking that she would calm down. Behold, she is still out and about. Curious.....
 
well when i bought my miami phase most of my attention is towards her and i've been handling the okee's less and less, maybe they are content now and just feel more at home and less stressed.

The miami being an adult 3-4 years old is there a chance i could be stressing her out now or is she mature enough to not get stressed from being handled more often?

i like seeing my okee's out and about the way they are its actually kind of cute my wife is getting a kick out of them.
 
Young corns need discipline.

If they start getting too hyper you need to be a responsible owner and correct the behavior now. (I personally prefer to use the "Time out" method of behavioral modification.)

I may seem harsh, but with a little tough love your snake will turn out to be a much better sub-adult! :grabbit:
