My opinion of the Herp Power Thermostat (Big Apple Herp)

I bought a herp power thermostat from Big Apple Herpetological abooouuut....oh, maybe 8 months ago. I really LOVE this product. I have made some other posts about this product, and all of my reviews are glowing. I bought it for about $110 including shipping and handling. I have noted that some people say..."WHY do you need it?" "I wouldn't spend $110 dollars on a thermostat."
Well, there is that old saying...You get what you pay for. This of course ISN'T ALWAYS true. Because sometimes you pay a good price, and you are sold an inferior or defective product (a "lemon"). However, the Herp Power Thermostat IS NOT such a product. I would argue that...for the price you pay...this thermostat is worth every penny. It is EXTREMELY accurate, never allowing the temp to fluctuate by more than 2 degrees from the set point.
The reason I bought this product...well...I think that the more accurate the temps in your viv, the healthier and "better" your snake will turn out. Is there a limit to how healthy a snake can be? I suppose. But, buying the herp power thermostat is sort of like buying a Lamborghini. As best I can recall, the Lamborghini Diablo can go from zero to 60 in about 3.5 seconds, and can reach top speeds of over 200 mph. Now, the question becomes...is it REALLY NECESSARY to achieve that kind of speed and acceleration in everyday life? Well, probably not. In most cases a Honda Civic is all you really NEED. However, when you buy a Lamborghini, you get the satisfaction of knowing that you have better acceleration, and that your car is faster than any other car on the road. Personally, I like the look of the car, but I wouldn't buy one unless I was FILTHY RICH, because speed and acceleration aren't important to me. But, the price of the herp power thermostat isn't really enough to break anybody's budget...so....why not?

Just my thoughts on the subject.......

Thanks Skye...Just wanted to give my opinion on the thermostat...since I was told that I was "nuts" for spending that kind of money on a snake thermostat. (In not so many words)
