My snake hasnt shed!

Well my snakes eyes have been blue for some time now and earlier i saw that his eyes were back to normanl but i couldnt find the skin! :shrugs:

I think snakes go through their blue phase first, then the shed follows shortly after..at least that's how it was with Maize during her shed..does your snake's skin and color look a little dull or possibly dried out? If so that means it hasn't shed yet but will soon..

Snakes' cloudiness will typically clear up just before they shed. I believe they are typically blue, getting foggier and foggier, for maybe four days, and then it clears up for a couple days, and then they shed. You should be able to find the shed in the cage; have you found it befor eor is this a brand new snake? Mist the tank, make sure he has things to rub against to get the skin off, and everything should go smoothly and be done in another couple days. (-:

Well, like it's already been mentioned, it's typical for the snake's eyes to clear up and "then" it sheds.
Did you just notice that his eyes had cleared up today? If so, I wouldn't worry. Just continue to watch for his shed over the next day or so.

nigel the corn snake said:
ok then thanks :santa:
But because today is the day that i feed him do you think i should wait until he has shed?

I never worry about it. If they'll accept the food, I'll give it to them.

i suppose it doesnt really matter, but im of the opinion why disterb a corn whilst its shedding to feed it a couple of days sooner, when they can go weeks even months without food.

I just leave em to it till they're done shedding then feed them, just owner preference i guess, as long as your snake is indifferent about it ;)

Dont worry Nigel, my corn shed 4 days after she cleared up again. Just chill out n leave him to it :)
