my snake won't eat

Glad to hear it mammaAS, i would think things will go much better this time...just remember like Sue & Nanci said...use a small container with air holes, make sure it is escape proff..because you have had trouble it would be best to put him and pinky in there and cover with towel and not peek for at lead 15 min to keep his stress level down, also brain(or slit the head open so that some brain matter comes out). Bet he eats like a champ this time.

An no I am not an expert, just someine who has had lots of great advice from others on here and had experience with a couple of snake who refused to eat!!!

Good luck, can't wait to hear he ate!

Just to let you know mamaas, that's what we did and our little one's eaten now, we just had to be patient. I hope yours eats too. Let us know what happens, fingers crossed your snake will eat this time :D

If it is refusing dead find a mouse breeder who could help and get a live pinky or whatever size it eats and put the two together.
Keep an eye on them to ensure the food does not become the feeder, I am sure the instincts of the snake will take over.

I am beside myself ecstatic! Chuckie ate tonight. I put him and the mouse in the little container at 8 and by 820 the mouse was in his belly! I then tipped the little container and let him go back into his big cage. Thank you all so much for the help/support/advice. It was the dip in tuna that did the trick. I heated the mouse to hot, dipped it in tuna water and slit the head open and he obviously appealed to him! YAY!!!!!

Whoo Hoo he is on his way to eating well for you... nest time try with just braining and no tuna juice..see if that works.. and gradually braining might be all you need to do, if anything at all.

My guys eat well yet I still brain and slit as Kathy Love mentions in her book that it allows for better/easier digestion.
