My son's cornsnake

My son has had a corn snake for about 4 months, recently it has become aggressive and everytime we try to hold it, it tries to bite. I am not sure if it is the feeding arrangements, he feeds it in the cage that it lives in.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum!! I am new to having corn snakes, but most people on here seem to believe that it is always better to feed the snake in a seperate container. Sometimes the snake will associate your hand going to the cage as food and be more likely to bite. Try feeding the snake in a different container (I use a small bucket, a friend uses a cardboard box). See if that helps to lessen the aggression. Good luck!

Something else could be the problem.. could you tell us about your set up.
And do you handle the snake on a regular basic?? Lack of handling could be one cause.

A reason for such behavior could be if ur snake is going on blue which is shedding they become nervouse during this time and try to defend themselves causing it to strike. Also mating season its around and snakes become more active.

All good suggestions so far! Also make sure your snake has proper shelter. Also watch your heat source, how hot is it? If your snake sits where it's "hot" to the touch... it's too hot... this can make your snake very stressed. LOL
