Gonna start a progression thread on these guys. Maybe over time, I can figure out how to get a pic in focus.

The first one I got was from SMR, a bloodred. He was born July 21, 2012 and I got him in November 2012. Didn't really have a camera then, so his progression is starting now.

77 grams and about 25-30" long here, shed a couple weeks ago:

Next is the “High White Ultramel Okeetee” (I just call her the ultramel, lol) from Walter Smith. Born sometime around May 15, 2013 and I got her June 11, 2013.

Was 11 grams before she ate, and probably about a foot long. She shed last week:

Last is the “Miami Phase Corn 100% het Amel 66% ph Motley 50% ph Cinder” (and I call her that whole thing every time), also from Walter. Born around May 23, 2013 and received on June 11, 2013.

8 grams before eating, about a foot long, looking fat and untrusting after dinner. Will probably shed in a week or so:

A month and a half later...

Fed the babies today, decided to get some pictures and weights.

The little miami is 11 grams (up from 8 grams). She's a bit lighter in color now, but still brown. Hoping that turns into a red or orange... She's due to shed in a couple weeks.

She's not growing very quickly compared to the ultramel, but moving along. She's a funny little thing. Will strike at me, then crawl right into my hand a few seconds later. Generally pretty curious and adventurous. And nervous! Very animated eater. And she poops every 24 hours without fail. That's a hassle, but I guess we should all be so lucky

The ultramel (high white ultramel okeetee, officially) is up to 17 grams, from the previous 11 grams. Fairly reserved in personality but finally warming up to me. She shed a couple weeks ago.

And she's so pretty! I wanted the miami and only got the ultramel as an afterthought, and really glad I did. I love her colors and the belly checkers, which are a fuzzy pinkish gray. I meant to get a picture of their bellies, but forgot to. Can't wait for this one to grow up:

The bloodred is in blue now, I'm going to check his weight and get some pics of the shiny new him when he sheds. I moved him up in food size and this is the first time he's broken every-six-weeks shed cycle. It was just a little under a month from the last time he shed that he went blue again.

So no current pics, but here's one from a month ago right before his last shed. It's got a red tint to it, his head is still pretty gray. When's that gonna fill in?! Ugly head aside, he's just the sweetest thing.

Another month and a half

Bothered the snakes for some pictures tonight. They do not like being put in containers.

First is my pretty little ultramel ("high white ultramel okeetee"). She should be getting ready to shed in a few weeks, but still active and looking bright for now. She weighs 28 grams.

She's getting pinker. Was hoping for a good white background on her, but oh well, still love those colors:

Next is the miami, slow growing but so cute. She shed a week ago and weighs 18 grams now. I need to remember to get a side view next time...

Bringing up the rear is my yearling bloodred. He's such a sweetie. Shed a few days ago and weighs 131 grams.

I took the hide off my little miami the other day, and she kind of tumbled out of it. I was thinking it's about time for a bigger hide and remembered a picture I took of her a few days after I got her. Wanted to get a comparison shot before she's too big to fit in the tiny hide:

She used to fit in the hide with room to spare, all cute and curled up. Now she can expand and hold on to the edges, I have to wait for her to fall out of it when I lift it up

The bloodred looks like he'll shed in a couple weeks. We'll have a photo shoot and weigh-in then. I got starsevol's DayTonia (a huge female okeetee) a few weeks ago, will get pics of that big snake too. If she lets me, haha. Don't know if I can weigh her on my little scale, or if I can fold her into a small enough container...

I took some pics on/around Nov 30 and never got around to posting them. I'm going to take current ones this weekend while they're all between meals and shedding.

The little miami (she'll always be "the little miami", no matter how big she gets) was at 36 grams on Dec 1, she's eating fuzzies:

The ultramel is getting pretty hefty now, no longer my squiggly eight-gram noodle. She was 48 grams on Dec 1, and is on hoppers today (she's wasn't last month):

The bloodred was 181 grams on Nov 29 and he's about ready to move up to medium adults I think. The small adults (Layne Labs doesn't have "weanlings") aren't quite big enough. But they were fine last month :

The big ol' okeetee I got from Starsevol is doing well, finally settling in and is more active and curious in and out of the viv. Haven't weighed her yet, but she's around 4'7" long and has been very nice. This pic is from Dec 3. I don't think the flash was on, but there sure is a lot of glare:

The pic of the okeetee was a day before she shed the first time with me. I thought I could get away with posting that as her normal look, but Nanci spotted it right away, lol. She's supposed to be a 2006, I've had her for three months, and she's shed twice in that time. Don't know what's up with that, I wish I'd weighed her when I got her. She doesn't look fat to me (not that I'd know) and no injuries that I can see, but those two sheds...

Next is my little miami, who's practically caught up to the ultramel but is about to go into shed soon so will miss a few meals. She's 58 grams, eating fuzzies, and is also eight months old (one week younger than the ultramel):

Third is the okeetee I got from Starsevol in October. This big snake is a 2006, I believe she's a former breeder, and she weighs in at 948 grams, about 4'7" or so. She's huge!

I had a hard time getting any good pictures of her. I thought she was more active than the other two, but I think she's just big and so covers more ground when moving. And she's hard to corral into a small area. I finally just put her in a tub after letting her run around for a while.

But not this tub, I only weighed her in this:

Snake progression! It's been awhile, here's some poorly lit updates

This is the bloodred/diffused. Hatched July 2012. He weighs 604 grams:
