I checked the girls this afternoon and found my first ever, two clutches. The amel gave me 18 good eggs. The normal het amel had 20. 11 good and 9 slugs. The other two females should follow with their clutches in about 5 or 6 days. I'm pleased and excited for my first year breeding.

Well don't tease me, they're still 'on the market'! The female is getting really plump, and I forsee eggs within the next couple weeks. . . she is also het for Anery, but don't know about the male.

Keep us/me posted on the rest of your egg-layers! :crazy02:

You might. I got her from a really nice guy that got me started in this totally addicting hobby and has given me a lot of advice and encouragement. :wavey:

Awww shucks! Looks like you have definitely done something right with her then! Also adds evidence to my belief that unbrumated males are not so fertile since last year she only laid 5 of 17 fertile eggs after laying 16/17 the year before! Last years male was an unbrumated first timer, and the year before was a brumated first timer!

The only problem Brent is that she was mated with a brumated male this season. That's why I was pretty surprised that she threw so many slugs. I'm looking forward to comparing how the other two do, especially the ghost her charcoal female. I'll let you know how she does.

Um, Lee, I don't see a single slug in that picture . . . we are both talking about the amel picture posted above right?! . . . By my count there's 17 perfect looking eggs that I can actually see in that picture . . .
