I'm just too happy to contain my excitement, so decided to share it with you all!

So a couple saturdays ago, August 2nd to be exact, I finally got my dream snake at the Rocky Mountain Reptile Expo... A Ball Python! She's just a simple normal, nothing fancy, but imo is absolutely gorgeous :D It's hard to resist the urge to want to get her out and look at her more!
I've been wanting one of these guys for the longest time ever since I fell in love with the amazing morphs and most importantly their adorable head-shapes. She's my first python too, another milestone! She's still in need of a name though...

Anyhoo, on with the pics ;)

I just have to say, slow pythons are so much easier to photograph then cornsnakes! :D Hope you guys enjoyed the pics

Awesome snake! I used to have one just like it. I named it Guinness, after the dark beer. Mine was a picky eater so I traded it for a corn snake.

Good luck with yours!

:crazy02:

Very lovely snake! I just got my first BP two days ago and I feel your pain when it comes to wanting to handle her.

Shes gorgeous and a good size, I hope she eats well for you.

She looks like a Smoothie to me... as in a banana squishy fruitie cutie. Call her Smoothie!

Thanks muchly for the comments all! :D I'm thrilled to announce she ate her first meal for me last night! I was a little worried after her first feeding attempt when she struck but missed, so I'm extremely happy now... and hopefully after she's had a few more meals and is settled in all the way, I can take some more pictures!

She's a beaut! Some of her markings remind me of the Grim Reaper for some reason. Not sure either would make a good name though..hehehe.

Thanks for sharing her with us.

Congratulations!!!
She is a sweetie:)

About how old is she?

(By the way apparently BPs are notorious for bad aim when they strike at prey...)

I have just got 2 pythons plus she is sitting on 4 eggs we got them from 2 young lads who seemed to have no idea what they were doing with them, my other half loves them but I am still a bit unsure yet I am only really used to my corn snakes.

If anyone has any advice on cage sizes etc I would appreciate it.

Phew, that's good to know! I was worried my hand was too shakey or something XD
Her hatch date was April 1st of this year, so she's about 4 1/2 months right now. :)
