• Hello!

Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.

Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....

Please be certain that the location field is correctly filled out when you register. All registrations that appear to be bogus will be rejected. Which means that if your location field does NOT match the actual location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected.

Sorry about the strictness of this requirement, but it is necessary to block spammers and scammers at the door as much as possible.

Myspace!

Do you know what a camwhore is? There are a lot of camwhores on myspace. This is inarguable fact, and is beside the point that I was making a joke. Don't be so sensitive.
I'm not being sensitive. And no I don't really know what a camwhore is but if it has whore in it I assume it's bad.

I can't stand myspace! Too many people use it as a replacement for personal interaction.
I tried to avoid MySpace for precisely that reason. But then I found out I couldn't possibly keep in touch with far-flung friends on a phone with no free long-distance (I have an oooooooold cell phone). And honestly, I'm too busy and jealous of my time to talk to most people. MySpace is easier: a quick comment, Alt+F4, and back to work.

Haha...then you wouldn't like my page. My username is Whore for Torture.

Here's what I hate about MySpace: People have taken age-old sabre-rattling to a new era: the size of your friends list. If you really do have 800+ friends, why are all of your self-consciously emo-dramatic pictures on your profile taken by you yourself? Can't a single one of your friends take your picture for you?

As a rule, I don't add people I haven't actually met and spoken to in real life. I don't care if my friends list is small. My actual friends don't care how big it is. :)

I used to have a private friends only profile seprate from my makeup account but I eventually gave up and now just use the makeup promoting account and add anyone who likes my work, who is a makeupartist, photographer, or a model, people I know in real life, and people I have met on other sites like this.

I was all over it, but I quit since it was bought out by Rupert Murdoch. Not trying to inject politics here, we all believe what we believe and I don't try to change anyone's mind.
But for the record, those who believe as I do, you might want to be aware of that takeover. I try not to help that guy make a dime lol..

On a side note and kinda funny, since I quit, I've had friends calling me and asking why I removed them from my friends!! I explained that I hadn't, I just quit altogether. Well since then, I find myself talking regularly to people I hadn't in years.

It's pretty cool to be involved more directly in the lives of my friends, how'd I forget about that?
Thanks for raising the issue. I don't follow such things but I like to be informed. One reason I miss living in the east, where almost everyone follows politics and I can just osmose, instead of here, where almost everyone doesn't realize there's a whole world out there. I don't have a myspace page as far as I remember, but still these things are nice to know . . .

No problem. Happy to spread the word! I had tried to post a bulletin there at myspace letting everyone know why I had quit. Then after posting it I quit and the bulletin no longer had my name on it cause my account no longer existed!! DUH!
So at least I got the message to one person!
