I was trying to think of names of jazz musicians to name my snake. I decided on Satchmo, which was Louis Armstrong's nick-name, and very fitting because Satchmo was a shortened version of "satchel-mouth" and what better name for a snake?
Think of things that interest you and name her after someone or something that reminds you of them. I used to use foreign words for names, too, and like Cyntax suggested, names out of mythology. And if all else fails there's always things like "Spike," "Fido," and if you want to be contrary, "Claw."
I named mine Spitfire to make it sound all mean and evil... Red and black, a perfect Spitfire. Try something with the idea of fire in it, Pyro, Flamez, The Fire God, etc...
