I had the most wonderful afternoon today, so I just had to share!
It was cleaning, weighing and feeding day for the little ones and our Grandson, Brandon, was visiting. He really wanted to help Nanny, so I let him take the hides out of their tubs and give the water bowls to his Mum, so she could wash them for me.
He then helped take the little ones out of their tubs (he has held them before with supervision and is very gentle), so their tubs could be cleaned and helped push the button on the weighing scales, when I weighed them. He even copied us every time we washed our hands between snakes.
When they were all back in their tubs, I then told him they all had to have their dinner (he's never seen the corns feed before) and he watched me feed the first one, he seemed to find it facinating. I put her tub back in the rack and put the next one on the table for feeding. Brandon helped take the lid off this ones tub and picked up the feeding tongs, so I decided to let him try feeding. I helped him hold the tongs with the fuzzy and he gently held the fuzzy in front of Cosmo's nose, which Cosmo took quite happily. After that there was no stopping him and he fed the rest as well, it was wonderful to see him so enthralled by the whole thing.
So now I have a little helper if it's feeding day when he visits.
By the way, Brandon just turned 2 years old at the end of January! I'm sooo proud! :dancer:
Here's a couple of pics we took before feeding, of Brandon (sitting on Daddy's lap) and Merlin, enjoy!
