Need Desperate Help with Turtle Eggs ASAP

I am absolutely, 100% positive they are softshell turtles. They have the hog nose and their shell is soft and rubbery. Plus, my dad is big into the outdoors. He loves hunting and fishing and says they are softshell. My great grandpa was a wildlife biologist and also says they are softshell.

I just put her in a small box with tiny pebbles and a bowl of water she can swim in and get in/out of. She seems lively and healthy, although she jumped out of the last bowl she wsa in and the yolk disconnected :( I hope this is not to to bad.

Well Emily so far it sounds like your turtle is doing better than the last one...so keep fingers crossed and maybe because it was just a small bit of yolk it may not matter.

She still seems to be doing good. Right now I put her in a tank with some water and rocks. She is spending most of the time in the water, but not eating. I have no clue what to feed this little turtle. I guess just regular turtle food, but she is a aquatic turtle. Maybe fish...

Go back to your internet, some where on there it must say what baby softshell turtles eat??? I would think. Glad to hear she is still ok, did anyone else hatch?

UPDATE ON BABY TURTLE: Well, she wouldn't eat turtle pellets, krill, or minnows. So i let her go. I went to a cool creek that runs behind my house and put her in a little pool with alot of small fish. I think she will do better in her natural habitat, the way she should be. When the other babies hatch, I plan to let them go at the same place so they will survive.

It was hard, but probably for the best. If she would have eaten something I probably would have kept her but I would rather her have a chance in her natural habitat than die under my care. There are alot of small fish and bugs for her to eat in a creek that I can't get for her.

Plus, we have four more eggs that are getting ready to hatch, maybe one of them will be more cooperative :)
