It piss me so bad.
One more for the Abbott's side. I've had two myself, and you can't miss those borders!

Tell me how I got that wrong.
If its not from Jasper County, its not an okeetee.. Its merely a pseudo.. Lee's Okeetee's and even Kathy's are indeed line bred okeetee's, done to further enhance the look of an okeetee.. You would be rather lucky to find a natural okeetee that looks anything like Lee's or Kathy's finest creations..

Either way, look or locality, it is still not a seperate morph, but rather "different" looking normal, so she wasn't entirely wrong on that either.
As with the Miami phase, selective breeding has changed the term “Okeetee” to an appearance rather than a locality. Some on the market originate solely from selectively breeding corns from the Okeetee Hunt Club.
That's... a pretty extreme stance to take over a corn snake morph, but ok. I always thought "Okeetee" referred to the black borders/high orange contrast whereas Abbott's Okeetee was the locality, which may or may not show thick black borders and high orange. Correct me if I'm wrong.Tell that to affectionato's of genuine okeetees and your likely to get blasted, as opposed to corrected.. I am not particularly swayed by Wikipedia, nor am I swayed Chuck's input, and well Don will tell you that indeed it is selective breeding that has enhanced his line..
Which is absolutely true.... So what gets represented as an okeetee, could very well be the lookieatee, and you should be ashamed of yourself for marketing the animal as a real okeetee, because your then a liar as far as I am concerned. It is truely a misrepresentation of the animal, but then I hold my self to a higher standard of ethics when it comes to an animals heritage etc..

Oh, ok. Just had it backwards, I guess. My mistake!Sorry, but you're confused. Abbott's Okeetee refers to Lee Abbott and his specific line of Okeetee, known for its bright orange background and thick black saddle borders.
Snakes from the area of the the Okeetee hunt club (Jasper County, NC) are the locality Okeetees.

A nice comparison! I was confused in the beginning, too.

I can understand that. That'd sort of be on the same line as selling a hybrid without marking it as such (or selling a normal marked as an anery ;D). Education seems to be the answer to your problem, Tim! After all, if you guys hadn't corrected me on the difference between Okeetee and Abbott's Okeetee, I'd never know. Its not an extreme stance, its just fact.. There are a lot of people that would be more "extreme" than me with their idealology's concerning Hunt Club Okeetee's and lookeetee's.. Do some snooping around on the site here and your going to find some more information ... I don't think for one minete that what Kathy, Don or Lee produces are ugly, when in fact they are very geourgous animlas with a lot of time and effort put into selectivivly breeding for their triats.. I have owned a KL and an Abbott's, and I won't knock anyone for owning such an excellent animal who's heritage is known to trace back to the hunt club, but what bothers me, is when people will market a corn snake under the premise that its a real Okeetee, and there is no ties to the originating lines at all, its deceptive, and it does nothing to help the community..
