first thing...ive come across a site called 888reptiles, witch is pretty good
and i was lookin at the ball pythons and its got CF next to them, what does that mean??is it good?

Second thing is that whats is a good forest substrate???

Thanks

not into balls so i think it mostly depends on you.

far as i know farmed is wild caught gravid females some offspring are kept other released, as well as the female for future breeding?

for a first snake i would probably try to get a cb=captive bred from a well known breeder.

a ball python forum would probably be able to give you better information and recommendations.

is that good or bad?

It's bad. Normal ball pythons are so cheap that it makes no sense to settle for captive hatch/captive farmed snakes. Spend $40 on a normal captive bred ball python as opposed to $25 for a captive hatched/farmed snake.

Captive farmed/hatched snakes are normally eggs that are taken from the wild and incubated at a facility. You normally have to deal with much bigger problems with those types of snakes---and you also run into the parasite risk with them.
