never in his hide anymore??

Hi, my ball python used to spend a lot of time in his hide. For a couple of days now, he's never in it, sometimes half of his body is in it but the head is always out. There has been a difference in temps for some time now because of how hot its been because of summer but nothing big enough. He also hasn't eaten as mutch as last week. I love to see him out all the time and always see him climb and use the stuff that he has in his tank but is he really just cruising arround and exploring or is he maybe not happy in his hide. Or is he hungry?? The setup has not been changed, everything is like when he used to spend a lot of time in his hide.
 
is he going into shed? my little girl has become much less active since she has been in blue. she used to be all over the place
 
oh ok so you tried to feed while he was in shed? sometimes snakes dont like eating while in shed, i know my ball didnt eat this week.
