Another great addition. He's excellent, and packing some serious het action. :)

Rich is great to work with. And he gave me a great tip that I had never even thought about: When working with blood and stripe hets, try to go for blood het stripe x blood het stripe pairings. It's a lot easier identifying the stripes out of a clutch of homo bloods than the bloods in a clutch of homo stripes.

Of course, you won't have any problems id-ing the offspring from a pairing of this guy and that new granite stripe. Statistically, you should get equal numbers of granite-stripes, blood-stripes, granites, and bloods. Incidentally, these are the predicted results from the pair I just got from Rich Hume myself. But the offspring from your pair will have crazier hets.

Thanks for posting!!! What an awesome little guy!

I have recently discovered that the breeder I got my anery mot boy from is "missing" a female snake...so despite the breeder's friend sexing the snake for me and saying it's a male...I might have a girl after all (Getting him probed this weekend to make sure!!!!)

IF he is a girl then I have to rethink my entire breeding plan...sigh...so I want to get a Hypo blood (There is a strong possiblity that he het for Hypo) to breed him/her to (I want to get a hypo blood anyway though! lol)

Anyone know where I can see really nice adult pics of hypo bloods? I did a search but the ones I found weren't very clear... :)

Thanks everyone for your comments :)

That's a very interesting tip, Dean, and it makes alot of sense. But you are right, I don't think I'll really have that problem so much when crossing him to my anery stripe blood :)

And for Velvet: Try looking Here

HANDSOME little guy! Let's see...if you can duplicate Dean's snakes' growth rate, you could have anery stripe bloods het hypo in '08, and then ghost stripe bloods in '10. Put me on the waiting list for a pair of those ghost stripe bloods! I should be able to save enough by then!
