Howy folks!
I just got back from my local pet shop, and saw a big ol' normal corn in a little tank, being miserable and in blue. I asked what the guy would take for him, and paid $60.00 (10 off). He seems very healthy and somewhat, (but not too calm). (I'm guessing he's male.) The shop owner said that he sold him to a lady about six years ago as a hatchling, and now she doesn't want him anymore. (Why do people do that? I see 10 year old dogs at the animal shelter a lot too!) He is really big, but then again I'm not used to seeing adults. I've named him Dante. So my question is...
Is there anything I need to be aware about when taking care of an older (previously owned) corn? Any differences in husbandry with older the fellows? I have him in an under-the-bed sized bin now, but would like to know a good roaming size for an aquarium for him. A 55 gallon?
Cheers.
