Good morning,

I just got myself a new baby in the family from what I see and hear he's a little charcoal. Awesome little guy too. My main question is what should the regular girth be on a 1 month old? He's looking really think but I am assuming its just due to his young age. He was feeding at the herp shop I got him at so he does have an appetite which is good.

As well, is there anything I should be looking for on him to ensure he is healthy. His head and eyes are really small, I have been looking aorund the eye socket for mites etc but its too hard to see any bulging but I will definately keep looking for them to make sure they aren't present , but anything else I should be mindful of? btw named him Striker

There is no regular size (girth) to a snakes, that vary with feedings, health and gentics of the snake. If the snake is eatting pinky's every 5-7 days then good. Just check him out at least weekly. Don't stress yourself out. These guys are pretty easy to care for. Here a few links to read if you want.
