New Baby!!

My snakes LOVE their hammocks. I put a flower or leaves on top to hide under and they are up there 90% of the time. Makes them easy to find ;)

yeah if you look for reptile hammock in amazon you'll find a 14 inch and a 17 inch. I got one of each, one for Popcorn and one for Snickie, altho she doesnt like hers cuz shes too big lmao
the small one you can get on Amazon for like $7

yes...I will be sad when they are too big to lay up there anymore. They don't seem like they will hold a lot of weight.

yeah the 17 inch is the biggest one as far as I know and its waaaay too small for my big girl to sit on comfortably
I think if u had like two of them and could get the front ends to sit together, it would be like a giant hammock
...I actually might try this lol

I love seeing all these pictures lol since I just recently got in snakes, no one I know likes them and could care less about my Seamus and all the cool pictures lol I have to come on here to share my snake excitement and get my snake fix!

The hammocks are awesome, Seamus likes to sit on top of his Hygrometer, so I'm thinking he would enjoy a hammock up top.

haha Popcorn did that too. so I put the hammock near it so she could crawl from that right into the hammock. I also trailed a thick vine up to it just in case
I completely understand your situation. no one near me seems to get as excited about snakes as I do...so I come here for comfort lmao

I'm right there with you all, my whole extended family and friends think I'm nuts for having snakes, even had to cover my vivs or my grandma wouldn't come for Christmas. No one understands how much I love them. Glad that you're all crazy about them too ;)

I'm totally in the same boat. Everyone around me here thinks I'm nuts, gross, or have lost my mind. The only person that enjoys them now with me is my husband. They do understand how much I love them, my birthday present from my mom was my new coral snow, but they do NOT like them. I think if they had some experience and some education they would enjoy them also. My husband always said absolutely no snakes, and now he enjoys them almost as much as I do. So I really love this forum! It's nice to show off my babies to people who enjoy them also. And every single one of my babies have come from people on this forum.

My husband wants nothing to do with them and just about flipped out when my 7yr old son tried to hand him the snake, lol. Guess he'll either learn to like them or just accept their presence. He will watch them when they're out but wants them away from him.

its good to have the ppl that live with you support your hobby, even if they want no part in it. its even better when they do want to be a part of it.
it rly does all come down to education tho. once someone understands the actual risks, or lack thereof, it becomes easier to deal with it, and even accept it. once people realize that there really isnt anything to be afraid of, it opens up a whole new world thats not only exciting, but fascinating as well.
snakes really are great animals, and I have been blessed at a rather early age to learn to accept them into my home. and I owe a lot to my momma for putting up with mine from the beginning and even taking it upon herself to take care of her in my absence for nearly two years.
my sister, whom I now live with, still needs some convincing ;) altho she did take an active part in naming Popcorn and has even touched Snickie briefly.
slowly but surely

both of my snakes r so creepy...
