New chondro clutch (hatch photos)

TrpnBils

22 is not enough snakes
Had 13 hatch and 1 full-term red dead in the egg. These are half-siblings to the clutch I posted a month or so ago and the first thing we noticed was how light the yellow hatchlings are. It's a pretty major change from the others we've hatched out, and the picture below with just two yellow snakes in shows the difference between this clutch and the last with regards to the yellows' patterns and overall color. It's pretty intense!

Comparison - the one with the darker pattern was typical of the previous clutch, and all of the yellow ones from this clutch have the lighter pattern

Great pictures! Those are some interesting patterns on the yellows. The reds are wicked looking! Too bad they don't keep those colors, I'd have to have one of each.

I think GTP's are just some of the coolest looking snakes. I just with they stayed the red color. That would be just a really awesome snake..:)

please send me one............! *Kidding*
I am looking forward to getting one someday.. awesome pics

Congratulations, Jeff, for hatching out such a nice looking clutch of critters! That is great work. I love seeing pictures of newly hatched chondro neos hanging out together like that. Do you have any background info on the sire and dam of this clutch and the other clutch you hatched out recently?

Fricken sweet! They're not the type of snake for me but just the same....they're cool. It IS such a shame those red ones change.

I wish I could get my hands on a couple of those babies! I have other priorities, but those would make some awesome display animals! Beautiful babies by the way.

Great looking clutch! I've got two pairs together but they aren't cooperating...at least that I've seen. Still watching for ovulation.
(Mrs Z): Green tree python babies are born either red or yellow. Some locals, like Arus are always yellow (I've only heard of one exception to that rule) and parents that were red or yellow at birth will throw babies that are red or yellow. Two parents that were yellow will have yellow clutches, two red at birth will generally have red babies. They eventually go thru color change and become green, blue, or whatever. Some stay yellow.

Sorry for being late in my replies - my wife and I work 4 jobs between the two of us so it's been a hectic weekend! We're excited for the final clutch of the year to be out but now the hard work begins! I'm curious when we breed our corns this year to see what it's like trying to feed hatchling corns versus the chondros because that's all we've ever hatched before. We're expecting these to be our main focus in the coming years, but we'll see how it goes!
