ok i have a babie hatchlne corn snake in a 20 galon long. he is eating a pinky a week, he has a red reptil bulb on him it is about 85 on the hot side of the tank and there is hides on the hot and cold end of the tank . i have him on lizer litter for the substrate, i dont have a timer on my light so i have just been leaving it on should i be turing it off? any way let me know if there is anything eles i should be doing,

thanks

If the light is dark (red or 'black', made for night time) you can just leave it on all the time. If you want to switch to regular bulbs, I would recommend a timer, they're cheap and make it much easier. Unless it gets very cold at night where you are (and you need heat at night), regular bulbs are a lot cheaper.

well i live in Califorina so i gets about 70 at the coldest im my apartment and im using a dark light now so ill just leve it on till it runs out thne ill swich over to a normal bulb
