New And Addicted Already!
Well i have finally purchased my first snake and after reading things about the corn snake i decided to go with it. I have been trying to find a good forum and this one seems very good so i signed up. But anyways i purchased the snake on sunday nov 19 and here it is. There is also a pic of it in the terrarium that i put together.
If any of you can tell what type it actually is let me know. I plan on learning/researching more about the corn snakes and plan on getting more at a later time after i know much more about them.

Congrats on getting your first cornsnake and welcome to the forums and to the addiction. It would appear that you have a nice amelanistic corn there. (Sometimes called red albinos and typically shortened to amel.)

Cute Amel, nice little set up too. Although you may want to put a hide on the cool side as well.

What a pretty little amel. Congrats on your new snake.

I also really like the decoration in your tank. There's just one thing tho, your thermometers appear to be pretty high up. That means they're measuring the ambient air temp, not the actual temps near the ground where the snake is. You might wanna consider investing in a couple that have probes to measure ground temperature?

Thanks

thanks for the advice simple_minded. i am reconsidering on the heat lamp as well. i think that i might go get a heating pad for the bottom of the tank. I do have a problem with this snake eating:awcrap: . i have a post up about it though in the feeding threads if you have any advice about it.
