I'm fairly new to cornsnakes, we acquired our first one in an unusual way! Our neighbor knocked on the door one day and asked if we'd lost a snake! I went over to look at it, and there was this large red snake in his enclosed patio. No idea where it came from. Anyway, to make a long story short I caught it and took it home. My husband, Glen, had kept snakes in college and so had an idea what it was. We kept him, and fell in love with his gentle temperament. We have a 6th grader who also liked him, and so now we have begun to think of getting into breeding on a small scale (to start with!) and are starting to acquire a few more. So far, 1 Blizzard female, 1 Golddust motley female, a male amel, and a female Hypo Lavender Motley. I'm looking for at least 1 more male, not sure what yet. Glen is doing the genetics, and would like to specialize in motleys.

I also have a female Brazilian Rainbow Boa that I asked for and got for my anniversary in 2007, if that tells you anything

Welcome and TOO KEWL! My "niece-in-law" just got a cornsnake too and lives in Austin. Congrats on your growing collection and the "beginnings" of a plan for a future in cornsnakes too.

Welcome...welcome...welcome

I am new here myself but wanted to at least give you a big hello

Hello Lesley, welcome. Nice way to get your first snake, mine was cheap but not that cheap.

Welcome Lesley! I just moved from Austin last week up to College Station. I drove back today to drop off some more baby cornsnakes at ZooKeeper Exotics on Burnett Rd. They are good people there... I'm the guy who bred their Golddust, Golddust Motleys, normal motleys and the normals they just got in. Welcome to Cornsnakes.com- a wonderful site with great people!
