Well i have been lurking this sight soaking up knowledge as best i can for the last few weeks.
After much begging and pleading, about a week and a half ago my wife and i bought my 17 year old girl a baby Corn from the local pet shop....they said its a "Hypo" but that didn't matter much to me....its a pretty snake.
I don't have much experience with snakes except that i was an exceptional snake wrangler/catcher/hunter:) as a kid...was never allowed to keep my wild caught snakes for longer than a few hours...just long enough that about the time they gave biting on me...i would have to let them go:(. My wife has much experience with large snakes...2 African rocks and 2 Burmese..several year ago.
Anyway...the wife and i kind caught "corn fever" and after browsing the SMR site..we each got to pick a morph...Me, i chose a Oketee (abotts) and she chose a Creamsicle (Oketee).
Anyway..look forward to chatting you guys up and milkin some info from you.
Also i had a question for CornCrazy...is the a Corn snake in your avatar and if so...whats the morph?

Thanks,

Mitch

I can answer the question about Terri's avatar. That's a jungle corn (california king x cornsnake) cross. It's a hybrid, just like a creamsicle.

If you've got other questions feel free to ask, there's a FAQ development forum with a lot of good info up, and of course the search feature always comes in handy.

Good luck, and I see you're already being sucked in! :grin01:

Welcome to the forums Mitch (smile).

You'll find a wealth of knowledge amongst the folks here..a great place to learn about Corn keeping.

Thanks folks...that is a stunning looking snake...thought it looked abit like the Butter picture i saw at the SMR site.
And yes ...the search button is my friend:)

Mitch

Yes. I dont think it's a big deal if someone else answers a question that wasn't directed towards them. But then again, maybe I'm in the minority :shrugs:

No harm I guess but....

It is kinda rude IMO, especially when the question was addressed to another member by name. Just my .02. :)
