Hey all, this is my first post.
So im hopfully getting a corn snake soon, and have a couple of questions.

1) The corn snake i've been looking at is 4 months old. So what kinder size would it likely be?

2) Whats the best substrate to use, in the vivarium? And has anyone got any pic's of there snakes vivarium?

3) How often, and when should i be feeding him/she?

4) Is 85 on the hot side a good temperature to have, and is a heatmat a good thing to use for the belly heat?

5) Any pics of snakes that are about 4 months old would be great!

Thanks hope someone can help
:D

I just got a four month old ghost and can help you with that! S/he is a little over a foot long, but very thin. I will get pics asap!

good luck on getting your first corn!

1) The corn snake i've been looking at is 4 months old. So what kinder size would it likely be?

this will depends how much it has been fed, and how quickly it is growing so I find this difficult to answer

2) Whats the best substrate to use, in the vivarium? And has anyone got any pic's of there snakes vivarium?

I use paper towels for my hatchlings and juveniles, moving them onto aspen with sub-adults and adults. There are other options that other people use, but these work fine for me. Do not use sand, pine or cedar wood shavings.

3) How often, and when should i be feeding him/she?

once every 6 to 7 days should be fine. at that age I would guess either pinkies of fuzzies depending on size of the snake - look at the biggest part of the snake around it's middle - it's girth, and don't feed an item that is too much bigger in girth than the snake.

4) Is 85 on the hot side a good temperature to have, and is a heatmat a good thing to use for the belly heat?

85 is fine for the warm side, and low 70's would be good for the cool end. A heatmat is very effective for belly heat.

Sorry I can't help you out with the pics,

Skye

Here's my viv...It's her old viv. I don't have the new ones on my computer anymore. Anyway, it's similar, only larger.
