WOW! Two STUNNING Snakes!!! Looks like they are eating good....look at those stuffed bellies!!:licklips:

Congrats!!

Todd:cheers:

Wow did they come from your Tessera projects?

Unfortunately no they did not. They are from a Golddust Motley het Hypo Blood Stripe X Caramel Stripe her Amel/Hypo. The father who I sold this year is the key, he passed on something I have not seen before with breeding stripes. There are more in the clutch that I will be placing in the classifieds soon.

Gorgeous cubes!!! I don't even like yellow snakes, really, but those are soooo beautiful!!

They are quite stunning! I love stripes and cubes even more.

I'm curious, what is this something that you think the sire passed on?

I believe something is going on cause I have bred Motleys to stripes for years and never hatched them like this. Last year I bred the Golddust motley to his sister ultramel motley same genetics and only produce one reduced pattern motley. This year I did the same and produce 3 sunspots from the same parents. Then I took the dad and bred him to the caramel stripe and got another three sunspots. I will be raising a nice group of these sunspots to see what happens. Both parents (brother/sister) I sold earlier this year.

I have bred all kinda if Motleys to Stripes and never once did i produce anything cube, sunspot, or reduced pattern!

This is why I have such an issue with HET FOR MOTLEY AND STRIPE being called motley. These 2 animals in this thread are homo stripes which happen to show the cube mutation. I wouldn't call them sunspots. Cube is just a funky stripe animal. It's special, but probably not in the way that you want it to be special.

Stripes, Cubes, Sunspots, .....I plan on line breeding these even further. Imagine PATTERNLESS butters, Ambers, Caramels....and so on. ;)
