New lavs

schilsound

getting out of hand.
These are a pair of serpenco lavs from a show in Daytona in 2oo4;

I got them at a ridiculously low price from a friend who's turning his focus from corns to pythons [he's got a ridiculously beautiful pair of albinos that makes me reconsider my corn-only declaration of a few months ago!] which works out very VERY nicely for me since that means he's liquidating them!

I prefer the male's looks but the female is currently so docile and gentle-natured that she sat in my hands for 35 minutes while I was showing her off to my housemates.

Absoloutely stunning, and I cannot wait for next spring ;]

here's the female:

And here's the male;

unfortunately he was a bit squirmy- apparently he was blue for a shed [and I couldn't tell- he had already gotten clear eyes when I got him] and not too happy to be hanging around.

~sigh~ poor baby lol:

Why, Thank you princess!

I think they're nice too- the female has been "camping" in my hand, just as docile and sweet as can be, and the male has significantly calmed down, showing no signs of repeating his striking behavior he exhibited upon forst contact.

And maybe [next year] you CAN have a friend like this ;]

Very nice looking lavs. Beautiful coloring on that male. Sounds like you got a great deal on them. Congrats, they'll make a great couple and produce some gorgeous babies.

Why, Thank you JoniRed!

. . . when I passed along the compliments they blushed.

okay, maybe not blushed- they just wriggled around a bit, but my [huge]anthromorphic bone said it was the equivalent of a blush.

I couldn't be prouder, or luckier!

Congrats on the great find! I can't wait to see pics of the male after he sheds!Looks as though there is allot of peach on him. :cheers:

Thanks jzal8 and tst; I am in love with the pattern and color tone on the male, but that female is just a beautiful baby. Soft, gentle, and sweet. . .although she DID musk my ex-gf tonight [snicker].

I told the lady to wash her hands and she said no, so the female got a whiff of somethin' "not right" and laid a patch!

Sugar and spice. . .

Hey! Maybe I just named them ;]

Well unfortunately the pics of the female don't do her much justice- the color onb my camera's chip is drifting so she looks a bit too "steely", butthe male IS very peachy, so I wonder if he isn't gonna turn out to be a hypo. . . . .

. . .time will tell!

Thanks for the compliments! my new babies make me so proud!
