• Hello!

Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.

Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....

Please be certain that the location field is correctly filled out when you register. All registrations that appear to be bogus will be rejected. Which means that if your location field does NOT match the actual location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected.

Sorry about the strictness of this requirement, but it is necessary to block spammers and scammers at the door as much as possible.

Dakota Corns
It was necessary for Lauren to step down from contributing to the WIR. We will need a new regular author beginning with the following week of the rotation:

Sunday, October 3rd through Saturday, October 9th, to be posted 10/11 TBD

The full rotation is listed HERE.

Thanks,

If you don't find anyone, please PM me. I've never done one, but I'll try my best if needed!

I wish I could offer but since it takes me 10 or more minutes of fiddling to share A picture, I don't think so.

However, if there would be something I could do to ASSIST someone who can actually make pictures show up in the right place in the thread, count me in for that!

I'm not really at home with all the embedding stuff and so on, but I'll give it a go if you like, I guess I'll be able to find someone to explain to me if needed?
But if somebody more computer savvy is game for it, no problem for me :)

For anyone interested,

If you find a picture on a thread you like, simply right click it, go to 'properties'. Then copy the address/url (http://etc...)

Then you can either click the "insert image" button when you are making your post (next to the bold/italics/underline/text color/etc...) which will bring up a pop up window to insert that address/url you just copied. Or you can just paste the address/url you copied into the message box and surround it with image tags

[ img ] http: //www . image address here .com [ / img ]

(no spaces of course)

If you'd like to attach a link to words or sentences LIKE THIS, CLICK HERE!! YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO! there are 2 ways to do that as well.

You can type out the sentence, then highlight the word(s) you'd like to be linked. Then click the "insert link" button (located next to the insert image button). This brings a pop up window up where you can insert the web address you'd like to link to. Insert the address and click okay, it will then automatically add the proper coding around the words you had highlighted.

Or you can just type out the tags like this
Lets say you want to link www.cornsnakes.com to the words "potato salad". It would look like this:

[ url = www. cornsnakes. com ] potato salad [ / url ]

potato salad

Again, you'd do it with no spaces

When I make my WIR I use a word processing program, like microsoft word, or works, or whatever you want to use. I have a template that I use each week that saves all my headline titles, colors, etc... I just fill in the rest. I tend to work on it throughout the week, adding pictures as I find them, interesting threads as I find them, etc... Doing it this way I am not stuck trying to make a WIR all in one day. When Sunday comes it is ready to go and then I just copy that word document, and paste it into my new WIR thread (note, you can only do 10 pictures at a time...I believe any smiley emoticons count as a picture.) So if you do use a word processing document it is handy to get to know the tags used like the [ img ] [ / img ] and [ url = ] [ / url ] etc... because you would have to type that out by hand on a .doc

:wavey: I could definitely do this. I'm pretty good with BBCode so I'd be fine with that, and I pay attention to a lot of threads.

Thanks Heather :)
Ok count me in with the "possibles" to choose from.
Seems like there are a few candidates, so the WIR seems to be safe :D

Halley was the first to PM me AND she happens to have done her own "audition tape" with the latest WIR. Thanks for coming on board!!
