i got a new normal phase, and he is about 6 inches long, and hes feeding on smal pinkies still. I dont have pics yet, but later i will. My question is: How many people always have a water dish in their enclosure? I always have a shallow dish in their bowl, and lastnight he got up in it, and starting bathing. So, i was like okay cool. Then he put his head under the water, and starting swimming very fast!!! He would stay under for about a minute almost, and then come up for air. Next he decided to tangle himself up, and start doing barrel rolls in the water. HE LOVES HIS POOL!! Is this normal? Like i mean almost tying himself up in knots; it was so funny!!!

Now don't you wish you had a camera.
But I haven't heard of a snake doing rolls in the water HA! That great.
As long as he can get out when he wants, :crazy02: just enjoy the show.

dont want to scare you but check he hasnt got mites sounds like ur snake might be a bit irratated

mine looked a little dry the other day, so after i held him for 15 minutes or so, when i went to put him back in his tank i placed him head first for his water dish. he took off and was doing the same thing, swimming around rolling over doing 360's like he was stuck or something. it scared me so i kind of helped him out of the dish and he took of to his hide............. :shrugs: guess i am not the only one with a freak snake.

no im positive he doesnt have mites. he was definately having a good time. I was just suprised to see his activity in the water because my other corn never goes in the water.

I've caught two of my corns doing this from time to time. The first time I saw it I couldn't believe it. I stared at him until he poked his head out and looked at me like "what is it mom?" and then went back to swimming.

My bog snow boy used to like his water bowl a lot when he was a baby. I'd often see him sitting in it with just his nostrils out...very cute! My big girl, Shizz is a regular swimmer too but I haven't caught her for a couple of months.
