I got a "fancy corn snake" as they called it in the store.

hmm not sure what happened there it posted before i finished.

anyways

She is a beautifull pink and white. she is still tiny and teh store says they got her in november and she was really small.
I fed her wednesday and seh are 4 pinkies with no problem at all.

I have plenty of questions I want to ask so i will save that for whatever thread it should go in :)

Looking forward to talking to some cool people :)

Thanks :)

that was gonna be one of my questions. the store told me it was a fancy corn. but i can't find anything about that name. Was gonna ask what type it was. :)

wen i got mine from the store she looked allot like yours so i figured it was a snow but after her last shed she started showing allot of green on her so now im thinking shes a "pink and green" or bubblegum corn snake. So watchyour little one each shed might b a suprise and he/she might show some diff colorings.
Good luck and welcome to the snake world!

very interesting Jrzy
Mine has a bit of yellow on her belly so it should be an interesting shed :)

can't wait till that happens :)

one question about the shedding, should i have something in the viv that she can hook it on to to pull it off? I really don't have any pointy spot for her to do this.
Or will it just fall off?

i got a rock hide that isnt really pointy but she found a way to get it off. I noticed there shedding skin to b slightly stick when shedding so that helps then and also the humity and having a moss hide helps. she was soaking in that allot right before shed.

congrats, the best way to learn things is to keep reading every post you can, I've learned a lot just by reading different posts. And of course ask if you can't find the answer yourself.

She ate 4 pinkies ?! Holy canoli! Is that normal? I better start stacking up on pinkies then, before mine arrives!

they don't and shouldn't always eat that much in one sitting, if there eating that much in one sitting then maybe it could be broken up, 2 every few days... or maybe try something bigger, a fuzzey per say?

when i got mine they were fedding her 4-5 pinkies every 5 days which def didnt seem right. i brought her down to 2 pinkies every 5 days. for a little while then brought her up to 1 fuzzie a week. she seems to b doing perfecly fine

Well i fed Kori wed night and now it's sunday and her belli still dark and thicker then the rest of her. she is tucked away in her rock all the time. she came out like twice since then. is that normal?

I'm thinking that 4 at a time is to much.
The guy at the store says I should gice her 1 fuzzy a week. I just wondering she is still pretty small and is a fuzzy to big for her?

The way it looks now she will not be eating this wed I don't think lol

But we will see I guess :p

Any others on here in the toronto area??

I would like to find a place to get the food in bulk rather then going to petsmart. looking for a cheaper alternative

Thanks

Mojo is a lil shy of 2 feet and i was also worried about fuzzies bein to big for her but she took it and ate it wit ease. took her a lil longer then the pinkies but she was still able to eat it wit out trouble nor did she regurg it

cool

Kori seems a bit small like thin. the guy at the store said she was the "runt" and was very small when they got her. but she is eating like a piggy lol.

I will try and take a pic to compare her to a pencil or something to gage her size.

k ... another thing that helps. after they eat u shud c a bulge in there stomach with in the first 24 hours. plus it helps to watch other snakes eat to c how their belly bulge is and how there body size is compared to there food size is. its crazy how the diff is once nxt to each other and how they r able to take it
