new snake owner

Mare, that sounds likea good idea, but I'm worried b/c he said he would let the snake go after he bred it to another one

yeah

Well I am sorry but I agree with everyone else.

About 1% of reptile breeders I would say actually make a profit from breeding. Sure you will be able to get 10 or so bucks for each baby corn if you are lucky...but that is *not* profit. You have to account for everything.

And BTW....I riase my own feeder mice and let me tell you they take about double the time care wise as the snakes, and about double the money as taking care of snakes.

We are not trying to presuede you but it sounds like you should do some learning before breeding. A germ free enviroment will do nothing about parasites, and if this is the case and you don't fix situations like these, I'd be sorry to whoever buys a snake off you! Because it costs a lot more than 50 dollars to get a good clutch from two snakes. Especially if one is wild caught, and therefore FULL of parasites. I promise it.
