i recently just bought a creamsicle snake, and im absolutely in love with him... but its funny to think of how much i hated snakes just a few months back. a little while ago i started going to my friends moms house, she had quite a few snakes and whenever she brought out one i would be on the other side of the house. little did i know that it was just fear of the unknown. now,i have my very own baby snake whom i love. <3

his name is Apollo, after the greek sun god.
he's my little baby sunshine snakey :)

Congratulations! I think you will really enjoy having a corn snake. There is just something about them that seems to convince a lot of snake haters to like them!

That's really funny, my sister was pretty scared of snakes and did a little jig when she heard I brought one home. After looking at her and touching her a bit, she's not scared at all anymore. :]

Welcome, though!
I'm new, too. But so far, everyone here is so friendly! It's an awesome community.

ha, my wife hated them too, till we got Sonja, wife absolutely loves her and thinks she is so cute...she also thinks the frozen pinkies we have are cute, she feels bad we have to feed them to Sonja!! ha

i recently joined and got Sonja too, but welcome aboard!!!

Thanks, and you too!
Haha, at least I'm not the only one who feels bad about feeding baby mice to my snake.
But, Kalypso > frozen, already dead, mouse.
Besides, I had mice as pets, on two separate occasions, and they were meeeaaaannn little buggars.

Welcome to the boards. Don't be surprised if your one snake soon becomes two or more. It just kind of happens that way.
