New Snake

She is very pretty. With such heavy black boarders on her saddles could she have some Okeetee in her?

Love her color and pattern.

Thanks again!

Lindi should have Okeetee blood in her as I think one grandparent was a vividly-marked sunkissed. I’m guessing he was not too far removed from the Okeetee line in which sunkissed was discovered and that she has some throw-back Okeetee traits. I’m very pleased that her colors are getting bright and that borders are still so well defined. I was wondering how unusual her belly stripe was – it gets more distinct farther from her head. It makes it appear like her ventral checkers are trying to bleed together. Speaking of her belly pattern, I picked her up tonight and it was very faded, so she is about to go blue. Her back, front and eyes were still clear so I tried feeding her and she ate very aggressively. I was glad to get a feeding in before her shed (as I’m sure she was also). Hopefully they'll be even brighter pictures after her shed.

In the meantime, here’s a “poker” picture that also shows her nose freckles and a nice s-curve close-up as well:

Outdoor pics after finally shedding

Hi all,

After going blue on 3/28, Lindi finally shed the night of 4/4. She is now quite an easy snake to handle and it was warm the next day so I took her outside for some pics in the sun:

She had another nice meal late that night.
