new to the whole snake thing

Should I not offer her food at all or just see how it goes?

As long as she's been eating reliably up to now, general advice on this board seems to be to avoid feeding during the shed process.

Personally I do feed as normal during sheds, but then I've had all of mine for years and I know they're OK with it. I've never had a regurge that I can attribute to the process.

However with a new and as-yet unknown snake, I don't see the need to risk it. Waiting for food won't harm her, but a potential regurge might.

Thank you! I was quite alarmed to see her so dull and not as active and when I talked to someone else who's had corns for years it made me feel better. Coming from the nursing profession a pale lethargic patient is cause for concern, guess its just time to change my thinking a little :)

I do tend to think of them as feeling a bit under the weather when they're coming up to a shed! They need a bit more consideration, peace and TLC than usual.

I'm still new but you can try feeding your snake it might not eat but it might eat its up to the snake if it don't eat don't be alarmed just let it do its shed and then try if it still don't eat wait a few more days and the. Try again
