Hello all!! I am new to the site and I LOVE my corn snakes. I got my first one,Heidi, back in October;she was about 2 months old. Then in Jan. She somehow got out of her tank. We looked and looked for her, but we could not find her anywhere. I did not want to upset my children, so I went and got a replacement that looked just like Heidi. Then last month my daughter was in our basement, and she started yelling that Heidi was loose. I ran downstairs, and there was my REAL Heidi. I have no idea how she survived. So I went and got a new tank all the things I needed. So now we have 2 snakes Heidi, and Benny(My husband suggested the name, because he had to put down a Benjamin($100) to have 2 snakes) That is my cute snake story :)
 
I guess it was just meant to be, two snakes that is!! what kind are they do you have any pics?

Welcome to the site!!!!!!!! There is a lot of information here. Be sure to read the FAQ section in the forums. They answer a lot of questions
 
If you can find a local breeder, they will find out for you. Or a herp society should have someone that knows how. They will probably probe it.
 
When the snakes are older you can generally see a difference between male / female from the shape of the tail. Probing would be much more accurate :) I've never probed snakes myself yet - I'm still chicken!!
