Registered? Do i need to?
hi, im a newbie here, and im getting a corn snake soon, so i dont know what kind of plants to put in  do any of you have any useful links or info?

You dont really need plants in a corn snakes enclosure, if your getting a hatchling, plenty of hides, and a bit of plastic greenery will do, if you planning on a bigger corn then hides at each end of the tank will suffice with greenery around them and a good water bowl big enough for him to soak if he wants to, just make sure your new corn has places to hide and feel secure.

plastic plants are also easier to scrub and disinfect, and there are some quite realistic ones these days so your viv can still look good

Hi There!
I personally use silk plants (easy to clean or discard if needed) but , if you want to put together a "live vivarium" check out "The Art of Keeping Snakes" by Philippe de Vosjoli- The Herpetocultural Library
It's a great book for basic care & is specific about setting up viv's with plants and bio active substrates for all types of snakes including corns!
Good Luck (post pics when you are finished)

you could use cat grass, or snake plant, or even some kinds of ferns. Use plants that dont need much water or real sunlite.

I'm also a newbie but I have silk plants and Sweetness loves them. Not sure how pretty they'll be after the first cleaning though. :)

There is a HUGE wealth of information stored here in the minds of users and you can get answers to most of your questions. I love this site, there is a relatively small number of people, so it's got a really cool community aspect as well as all the info!
Never hesitate to make a post if you or your snake needs help!
